Awakening (To) the Bodymind

In this online workshop we will explore how we currently feel, think and relate to our physical bodies through the visual arts, writing as well as simple movement explorations. In later workshops, this will serve as a foundation for developing our abilities to employ embodied experiencing for therapeutic and exploratory purposes.

Release and Let Go

Online Art and Movement Workshop

June 7th, 10-12.30

Change becomes possible when you are able to release and let go of anything that no longer serves you.  Letting go can involve a myriad of things, from letting go of old habits, to releasing relationships that are holding you back or simply letting go of held tensions.

In this experiential creative arts workshop, we will work with this theme through a number of different expressive arts modalities.  Using a sequence of movement, visual art and writing allows for a deepening of one’s sense of self.

The format of the session is as follows: opening circle, free form movement (no learning of steps involved), image work and embodied writing, sharing and closing circle

This 2 ½ hour workshop will be held via Zoom.  Please wear comfortable clothing, make sure you are in a space where you can move safely, have a water bottle nearby and bring  pen and paper and some basic art materials (this can be coloured pencils, crayons or whatever you may have to hand)

Fee for the workshop: £28.00

For APCCA members: £12.00

Playing with Possibility

Online Art and Movement Workshop

June 21st, 10-12.30

Once upon a time play came natural to us, it is how we explored and discovered the world. But years of familial, cultural and societal and conditioning can become barriers to our unique self-expression and the joy we found in play.   How can we find our way back to the core of our authentic being, when the messages from the outside world interfere with who we truly are?

In this experiential creative arts workshop, we will work with the theme of experimentation.  We will play with different movement possibilities, find new ways to create and play with images and words.

The format of the session is as follows: opening circle, free form movement (no learning of steps involved), image work and embodied writing, sharing and closing circle

This 2 ½ hour workshop will be held via Zoom.  Please wear comfortable clothing, make sure you are in a space where you can move safely, have a water bottle nearby and bring  pen and paper and some basic art materials (this can be coloured pencils, crayons or whatever you may have to hand).
